Burger

My Favourite Food <(^-^)>

Burger

I know burgers are common food around. They are largely incompatible with a healthy diet and exercise. In the grand pantheon of sandwiches, burgers rank as one of the greasiest, most fattening portable foods around.

I should acknowledge that burgers can indeed be both fancy and expensive. Fancy usually means replacing ketchup with red onion relish or something, and in some madcap instances requires use of a knife and fork. I don’t know if you’ve ever used cutlery to eat a burger, but I can tell you it makes you feel very foolish. The casual, handheld nature of the burger is beautiful and natural, something to be treasured (more on that later). As for relishes and herbs and the like, I’ve no real issue with those sort of accoutrements, but what’s wonderful about the burger is its simplicity. It’s delicious with or without the expensive extras.

Some burgers that I particularly enjoyed eating are rice burger, juicy lucy, BLT burger and ramly burger.

Rice burger is a variation on the traditional hamburger with compressed rice cakes substituted for the hamburger buns. Most of the time, I get my rice burger at MOS Burger fast-food restaurant chain unless I tried making one at home.

Juicy Lucy is a cheeseburger that has the cheese inside the meat patty in addition to on top. A piece of cheese is surrounded by raw meat and cooked until it melts, resulting in a molten core of cheese within the patty.

BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato) is a type of bacon sandwich. The standard BLT is made up of five ingredients: bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and bread.

Maybe in the future, I will start including some recipes on my posts.

Ramly Burger

The term "Ramly Burger" may refer to any of the hamburgers sold in a Ramly Burger stall, which is most commonly refers to the Ramly Burger Special. While the amount and type of ingredients vary greatly depending on location, a typical Ramly Burger consists of a beef or chicken patty, margarine, onions, an egg, cabbage, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce and Maggi Seasoning. The burgers are a local delicacy, especially among the Malay community.

Burger Ramly started out in 1979 as a small family business operated from a mobile kiosk on Lorong Haji Hussein in Kuala Lumpur.

 Egg wrap!

The Ramly Burger is distinctive from most other hamburgers due to the unique way in which the ingredients are served. Rather than the usual method of stacking the ingredients within the bun, the patty in the Ramly Burger is first covered with the desired condiments, then wrapped in a thin layer of egg.

Besides the Burger Special, Ramly Burgers can also be served in conventional way, with the patty being cooked together with ingredients like Worcestershire sauce, curry powder or some pepper as flavorings.

What makes Ramly Burgers so special is that every Ramly Burger tastes differently from different stalls, thus appeals to a specific group of people. Ramly Burger is very localized and every stall is very simple and is commonly found along a busy road or under a tree.

My personal favourite type of Ramly burger is the beef Ramly Special. Well I think it's the work of the curry powder and the Worcestershire sauce. And the beef patty. Oooooooo… what can I say?
